Can Stock Market Trading be a Source of Regular Income?

After completing my graduation in the business application I choose to take up a job over pursuing my post graduation. I had always been an average or below average student all my life. I was pretty sure that further education would not be a big helping hand in getting the high package job  landprime.

Though the salary was nothing to be shouting about, I was happy doing my job. Since I was the one, who took up the job even before my elder brother, my parents were equally happy about it. Being someone like me who hailed from a simple middle-class family had never felt the pressure that you have to achieve that milestone or why did you end up choosing a petty job?

Money continued to come in month after month. I leveraged the financial reward that reflected in my personality. I used to spend all my earnings without caring about savings and investment. Of course, at the very young age of 20 to 22 who wanted to save money and the investment was out of my reach.

My life was taking a smooth ride. Then suddenly I realized after working hard for 10 to 12 hours all day, I would never be able to achieve my long term goals. I started saving money. I opened a fixed deposit account. What else I could afford to do at that point? Investing in real estate or gold was out my reach. I was taking the baby steps towards the investment knowing that the return I was going to receive after 3 to 5 years would not be sufficient and I needed to reinvest that money in other investment plans.

One of the investment professionals, I had known as an acquaintance told me over several times that stock market investors could yield you something phenomenal. Being a suspicious man my mind refused to believe in what I was told. However, I knew some investors were making a good amount of money. A beginner like me had a tendency to go overboard and more likely to incur losses than gaining profit. So I kept the idea of investing money in share market aside. I preferred to invest in less risky debt mutual funds than the stock market.

By then I was sure that someday I would be trading in the stock market but I was not prepared for it. For the time being, I armed myself with a lot of information about trading so that I could feel empowered. I also collected a lot of information about how nifty and sensex goes ups and down. I also studied the global market because FII (Foreign Institutional Investors) plays an important role to determine the market trend.
